FEATHERSTONE’S Challenge Cup run has forced the club’s Past Players Association to change the date of their 24th annual dinner.

The dinner was scheduled to be held in the Rovers clubhouse on Friday, April 27, but that is now the date of Rovers’ home fifth round tie against Wigan Warriors which will be shown live on Sky TV.

The dinner has been re-arranged for Friday, June 15.

Malcolm Dixon (pictured), who captained Rovers when they won the Challenge Cup for the first time in 1967, said: “The Association works on a shoe-string and it’s unfortunate the date of the dinner has had to be changed at such late notice. It’s just our luck. We would like everyone to know the new date.”
