THE date of Featherstone’s Carnegie Challenge Cup fourth round home tie against Castleford Tigers is set to be announced later today (Thursday).
The match will be played on the weekend of April 14-15. The delay in confirming the exact date is due to protracted discussions between the RFL and broadcasting companies regarding which ties will be broadcast live on TV.
Featherstone have announced that tickets for the game will go on sale to season ticket holders only at Bigfellas Stadium this evening (Thursday) at 6pm prior to a fans forum with chief executive Craig Poskitt. Season ticket holders will be able to purchase an unlimited amount of tickets.
Once all details have been finalised, the club will announce dates for when mini season holders can purchase match tickets and when match tickets will go on general sale.
Mr Poskitt (pictured) said: “I would like to thank everyone for their interest and by the volume of enquiries the club has received over the last 48 hours, this game, along with our Destination Super League campaign, has got the town buzzing with our loyal fans and returning ones too.
“We will release details as soon as possible as well as confirming a great hospitality package which is already proving extremely popular.”
