John Davies and Misi Taulapapa both won two awards at the annual Featherstone Rovers players’ presentation night in the clubhouse on Friday.

Taulapapa won the the club’s Steven Mullaney player of the year trophy and he was also voted the first team players’ player of the year.

Davies won the Rovers supporters club player of the year accolade and the League Express Social Media player of the year award.

Davies and Taulapapa both joined Rovers from Sheffield Eagles before the start of the 2016 season.

Former Samoan international centre Taulapapa was Featherstone’s leading try scorer this year with 16.

For the second successive season, Jordan Baldwinson won the first-team young player of the year award, in memory of former Rovers player Don Fox.

Keen fan Garry Crumpton, who has organised suppporters’ coaches for many years and attends numerous club functions, won the club person of the year award.

The comedy moment award, in memory of former Rovers player Gareth Swift, went to winger James Duckworth.

Rovers programme editor Chri Heinitz presented Rovers heritage number certificates to several first-team players.

The club thanked Stephanie Overton for organising the event and her husband Martin, the Radio Leeds RL commentator, for hosting the evening.
