FEATHERSTONE Rovers will warm up for the 2012 campaign with four pre-season friendlies.

They have home games on successive Sundays against Hunslet Hawks (January 1), Hull Kingston Rovers (January 8) and Bradford Bulls (January 15). All three fixtures kick-off at 3pm.

They visit Super League champions Leeds Rhinos on Friday, January 20 (8pm kick-off).

The Hunslet game is a repeat of last season’s opening pre-season match at Bigfellas Stadium which Rovers won 38-16 to lift the inaugural Gareth Swift Memorial Trophy.

Last season’s Featherstone-Hunslet friendly was originally scheduled for Boxing Day but was postponed because of a frozen pitch and was played at the second attempt on January 2.

Rovers chief executive Simon Riley (pictured) said: “We are delighted to confirm the first team warm up matches are now officially arranged. Each match gives us the opportunity to assess where we are as a club moving into 2012. Full details of the games will follow in due course.”
