Featherstone take on Hunslet Old Boys in cup clash

THREE-times Challenge Cup winners Featherstone Rovers were handed a trip to Pennine League Hunslet Old Boys in last night’s third round draw.

Pennine League Sharlston Rovers will visit Championship One club Doncaster.

Sharlston booked their third-round place with a thrilling last-gasp 20-19 home victory over Wigan St Cuthberts on Saturday.

Workington Town host Batley Bulldogs in the stand-out clash of the round.

In the only other all-Championships tie, Leigh Centurions face a tough trip to take on a London Skolars side who have impressed so far this season.

Last season’s NCL Premier champions Thatto Heath Crusaders visit Championship club Dewsbury Rams while the only remaining armed forces team in the competition, The Royal Navy, face a tough away trip to Hunslet Hawks.

French sides Toulouse Olympique and FC Lezignan will travel to face North Wales Crusaders and Barrow Raiders, respectively.

Matches are set to be played on the weekend of Sunday, March 25.
