FEATHERSTONE Rovers utility player Jonny Hepworth will make his comeback tonight (Thursday).

Jonny Hepworth (pictured), who has missed the last nine matches with a back injury, will play in this evening’s under 23s/reserves friendly against Catalan at Bigfellas Stadium.

Rovers coach Darfyl Powell said: “It will be interesting to see Jonny Hepworth back on the field. He’s lost a little bit of weight. We’ll see how he handles Thursday’s game before we start to think what he’s going to do leading into the play-offs.

“Jonny needs to play because he hasn’t played for a fair while. He needs to get on the field and we’ll then judge it as we get through that game.”

Powell is relishing tonight’s match against Catalan. The French club are in the area for Sunday’s Super League game at Castleford Tigers.

“I think Catalan are bringing over some fringe players and younger players. It will be a great challenge for our under 23s and I’m looking forward to it,” said Powell.

“It will be a step up for them from what they’ve experienced during the season. Obviously, they did pretty well to reach the final of the RL 9s and then they won the Reserves/Under 23s Championship. Thursday’s game will be a stern challenge for them.”

Admission to tonight’s game ise £3 adults and £1 concessions.

Latest £500 Rovers lottery winners are B Horsfall (I1091), P Baker (Q6246), D Harte (L5052), B Robbins (B0140), K Popple (N0068).
