KEN Jones is joining Featherstone Rovers as an associate director.

He has previously been a managing director for Marconi, held senior positions at T Mobile and O2 and acted as a consultant at the BBC and Chesterfield Borough Council.

Rovers chief executive Craig Poskitt said: “I’m delighted that Ken has offered his services to help our off the pitch development and help us achieve our aspirations of returning to top flight rugby league.

“Ken brings a wealth of experience and complements our existing team very well. He brings passion, enthusiasm and dedication which are qualities mirrored by those already at the club. Ken has worked for some leading brands and holds a very strong CV.

“Ken approached me directly to offer his assistance which proves the progress we are making off the field when an individual like Ken wants to become involved and be part of what is happening at the club. He has already assisted the community in a successful funding bid and we all look forward to working with him.”

Mr Jones said: “When I met with the CEO Craig and his team, I was highly impressed by the passion, commitment and desire to succeed running through the club. I am excited by the challenge and will work hard to help Featherstone Rovers RLFC to achieve their objective of a well-run, successful business fit for Super League.”
