Featherstone Rovers have thanked supporters who took advantage of an “early bird” offer on 2014 memberships which ended last Thursday.
Rovers chief executive Craig Poskitt said: “The response we have had from supporters is really encouraging and we would like to thank supporters who have taken advantage of the offer and those who decided to pay for their membership by standing order to spread payments.
“We always set ambitious targets at the club and we are targeting an increase in memberships in 2014 of at least 20 per cent.
“2014 is an important season with everyone connected with Featherstone Rovers. The club has once again invested in the playing squad, coaching staff, the redevelopment at the Railway End of the stadium and new Centre of Excellence. Over the last number of seasons we have seen growth in attendances and we are all working hard to replicate this once more in 2014.”
One area where the club is working hard is in the community and attracting more younger supporters to the club.
Laurabeth Jaggar, the club’s head of community development, said: “Over recent years we have seen a dramatic increase in our junior members group.
“It’s great to see so many familiar faces from our school visits actually at the stadium on a game day. Featherstone Rovers is proud to be a family club and encourage anyone with children to apply to become a junior member and be part of our Rovers family. The cost is just £35 and there are a whole host of benefits to joining.
“The Rovers community team will be joined in the office by a number of our first team players in the coming weeks. Not only will they be making me lots of coffee but they will be dropping our 2013 members a courtesy call to ensure that they have plenty of support for next season.”
Rovers’ 2014 memberships are available from £149 (adults) and £100 (concessions). For details call 01977-702386, visit www.featherstonerovers.net or visit the main office Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.
