Rovers clinch top spot with eight-try win

FEATHERSTONE Rovers host Leigh Centurions in the Co-operative Championship play-offs after making certain of top spot with a 46-4 win over Keighley Cougars at Bigfellas Stadium on Sunday.

Rovers ran in eight tries in their final league game and Liam Finn kicked seven goals to take his total this season to 171, a new club record.

Featherstone's try scorers were Greg Worthington (pictured), Ian Hardman, Nathan Chappell, Jon Grayshon, Stuart Dickens, Sam Smeaton, Andy Kain and Tangi Ropati.

After the game, Rovers were presented with the League Leaders' Shield for the third successive season.

The club were also given a boost with the announcement that main sponsors Probiz are continuing their sponsorship next season.
