Featherstone Rovers maintained their ten-month unbeaten home record by beating Swinton Lions 38-18 at Big Fellas Stadium on Monday.
After successive defeats against York and Sheffield, it was a much-needed victory for Rovers in their bid to finish top of the table for the fourth year running.
Lamont Bryan (pictured), who was switched to centre, put them on their way with two first-half tries and substitute prop Matt James grabbed two tries early in the second-half.
But Rovers were still far from their best in a patchy performance and they conceded two late tries after building a commanding 38-6 lead.
Matty Dale, Tim Spears and Andy Kain were Featherstone’s other try scorers and skipper Liam Finn kicked five goals.
James Mendieka, Brad Dwyer and Richie Hawkyard crossed for Swinton who have won just once at Featherstone in the last 50 years.
