Featherstone Rovers must wish they played Workington Town every week.

After thrashing the Cumbrians 72-0 at Big Fellas Stadium last month, they completed a Championship double - and again kept their opponents scoreless - by winning 52-0 at Derwent Park on Sunday.

Rovers ran in nine tries as they bounced back from their 44-20 home defeat against Halifax with a win that revived their top-four hopes.

They showed no mercy to Workington.

Town, who drew 20-20 at Dewsbury the previous week, were never in the game and trailed 36-0 at half-time.

Jy Hitchcox, Ian Hardman and Gareth Moore each scored two tries and Paul Sykes, Thomas Minns and Remy Marginet also crossed.

Sykes piled on the misery for Town by converting eight of the nine touchdowns to finish with a personal haul of 20 points.

Featherstone Rovers: Hardman; Sharp, Sykes, Minns, Hitchcox; Milner, Moore; Baldwinson, Ellis, James, Cording, Maitua, Spears. Subs: Marginet, Bostock, Bussey, Foster.
