FEATHERSTONE Rovers retained the Gareth Swift Memorial Trophy with a 24-0 win over Hunslet Hawks in Sunday’s pre-season match at Bigfellas Stadium.
Rovers, who announced the signing of former Great Britain winger Gareth Raynor (pictured), defended magnificently to keep fellow Championship side Hunslet scoreless.
Tries by Ian Hardman and Sam Smeaton gave Rovers a 10-0 interval lead.
They added second-half touchdowns by Andy Bostock, former Hunslet stand-off Danny Grimshaw and Jon Grayshon. Tom Carr kicked two goals.
