FEATHERSTONE Rovers winger Tommy Saxton has signed a two-year contract extension that will keep him at the club until at least the end of the 2014 season.
The former Castleford Tigers, Hull FC, Wakefield and Salford City Reds player (pictured) has scored 49 tries in 116 appearances since joining Rovers in 2008.
Rovers coach Daryl Powell said: “I am absolutely delighted that Tommy has agreed to extend his stay with Rovers. He has been in sensational form again this season and his effort recently against Castleford in the Challenge Cup was one of the best I have seen from a winger in the recent past. He is consistently an outstanding performer and I look forward to working with him for the next two seasons.”
Featherstone chief executive Craig Poskitt said: “Following on from Stuart Dickens and Jonny Hepworth signing new deals recently, this news means our squad for 2013 is already taking shape. Tommy has been one of the top performers outside of Super League since he joined Featherstone and this shows our ambition to keep our top players at the club.”
Saxton said: “I’m really looking forward to continuing my career with Rovers and hopefully more success with a great club.”
