Featherstone Rovers are just one point behind Championship leaders Shefffield after trouncing Workington 40-0 at Big Fellas Stadium on Sunday.

Matty Dale and Tommy Saxton each scored two tries and Liam Finn four goals as Rovers coasted to victory in a one-sided game.

Jonny Hepworth, Andy Kain, Will Sharp and Greg Worthington were the other try scorers.

Featherstone led 28-0 at half-time.

They were not as dominant in the second period but they still managed to take their tally to 100 points scored in the last two games with just six points conceded.

Rovers welcomed back Tim Spears and Jonny Hepworth from injury but were without on-loan Vince Mellars (hamstring).
