FEATHERSTONE Rovers have switched the launch of their new away shirt to this Thursday to avoid a clash with the re-arranged Northern Rail Cup match at Oldham the previous evening.
The new shirts cost £43 adults and £33 junior sizes and will be sold on a first come first served basisis at the launch in the clubhouse (7.30pm start). The bar will open from 6.30pm.
The club will be serving pie and peas and a full re-run of Wednesday night’s match at Oldham will be shown on the big screen.
The launch will be attended by Rovers head coach Daryl Powell, first-team players and club mascot Bluebeard.
The club’s community team will be present for junior supporters to enrol on Easter camps, join the Buccaneers Club and enrol for the Rovers All-Star Dance Academy.
The club shop will be open and there will be an opportunity to purchase or renew season tickets.
At 9pm a panel of supporters will take on a panel of Featherstone Rovers players at a “Question of Sport.”
Teams of three will be joined by a Rovers player. The cost of entry is £10 per team with half the proceeds going to a prize fund for the quiz and half to the Featherstone Rovers Scholarship Scheme.
The club’s commercial manager Paul Taylor (pictured) said: “We are pleased with the away kit. It is a really eye catching design and we are confident that supporters will see the shirt as a fashionable piece of leisureware as well as visually supporting Rovers on match day.”
