FEATHERSTONE produced a storming second-half display to beat Halifax 34-16 in Sunday’s Championship play-off clash.

Rovers bounced back from 16-12 down at half-tme to repeat last month’s league victory at Halifax.

Scrum-half Gareth Moore, who won the man of the match award, was a key contributor with a try and five goals.

Rovers now have a home qualifying semi-final in two weeks’ time while Halifax host Dewsbury in next week’s preliminary semi-final.

A try by skipper Tim Spears put Featherstone ahead but Halifax struck back with touchdowns from Ben Kaye, Keith Holden and Gareth Potts.

Luke Teasdale’s 36th minute score gave Rovers a boost and they dominated the second-half, adding four unnanswered tries from Moore, Kyle Trout, Matt James and Jason Crookes.
