Featherstone Rovers take on Salford City Reds tomorrow evening (Thursday) in the Under 20s Championship Grand Final at Salford City Stadium (7.30pm kick-off).

Rovers reached the final by beating a spirited York City Knights outfit 34-26 in the semi-final at Big Fellas Stadium.

It was an entertaining clash for the full 80 minutes.

York that had the better of the first-half and led 16-10 at the break.

But Featherstone turned the game round superbly in the second period.

A strong performance from the forwards, in particular Luke Teasdale and Luke Cooper, set the platform for Featherstone’s second-half revival as they outscored York 24-10 in the last 40 minutes.

Featherstone’s try scorers were James Metcalf, Lewis Young, Cooper, Jack Pickerill, Nath Harper and Teasdale. James Glover kicked five goals.
