Featherstone Rovers ended the regular season with a dramatic 26-24 win at Keighley Cougars.

Trailing 24-14 with 13 minutes left, Rovers snatched victory with late tries from Shaun Pick, Jason Crookes and Ben Blackmore.

Rovers finished second in the Kingstone Press Championship, three points clear of Halifax, who regained second spot after Doncaster lost at home to Batley.

Keighley’s last gasp defeat condemned them to relegation to Championship One.

The sides were level at 12-12 half-time, with Featherstone’s points coming from tries by Ian Hardman and Will Sharp, who was their best player, plus the first two of Gareth Moore’s three goals.

The Cougars looked set for victory when they took charge with two converted tries in the second-half but Rovers broke their hearts by staging a storming finish, with Blackmore grabbing a last minute winner.
