Interim head coach Ryan Sheridan is aiming to win more silverware before he leaves Featherstone Rovers at the end of this season.

Sheridan, who has been at Featherstone for five years, took over the reins at the Big Fellas Stadium when Daryl Powell moved to Castleford Tigers in May.

Sheridan, who was Powell’s assistant at Rovers, said: “It is time to move on. I’ve decided to leave the club at the end of the year.

“Five years at a club is a long time and I am looking forward to a fresh challenge. Now I want to finish off the year with some success.

“I have had a great time at Featherstone and I will be sad to leave a great bunch of players.”

Former Rovers forward John Bastian has been appointed Featherstone’s new head coach for next season. He will take charge on December 1.
