Three Featherstone Rovers legends - Mick Gibbins, Harold Box and Cyril Kellett - will be inducted into the club’s Hall of Fame later this month.

They will be inducted at a dinner in the Rovers clubhouse on Friday, October 28. Doors open at 6pm.

Gibbins made 331 first-team appearances for Featherstone.

He was a member of the club’s 1976-77 Championship winning team and played in their 14-12 victory over Hull in the 1983 Challenge Cup final at Wembley.

Box, who made 283 senior appearances, was also part of the successful 1976-77 team and was a member of the side that lost 24-9 to Warrington in the 1974 Wembley final.

Kellett, who made 171 first-team apperarances, died in 1993 and will be posthumously inducted into the Hall of Fame.

He holds the record for most goals in a Challenge Cup final with eight from eight kicks in the 33-14 win against Bradford Northern at Wembley in 1973.

Current Hall of Fame members Charlie Stone, John Newlove, Vince Farrar, Mick Smith, Jimmy Thompson, Keith Bridges, Arnie Morgan and Cliff Lambert will attend the dinner.
