Fryston Warriors take on Drighlington in the BARLA Yorkshire Cup final at South Leeds Stadium - home of Hunslet Hawks - on Sunday, December 28.

Fryston won 14-10 at holders Sharlston Rovers on Saturday.

Drighlington pipped Methley Royals 18-17 in the other semi-final.

Fryston were inspired by captain Lee Land as they edged out fellow Pennine League Premier Division outfit Sharlston.

James Cryer’s try that Andy Dobek goaled from the touchline put Fryston ahead.

Sharlston opened their account when Dean Gamble powered over but Fryston regained control with a touchdown from Land that was converted by Dobek who also kicked a penalty.

Sharlston cut the half-time gap to 14-10 and the score stayed unchanged in the second-half in the increasingly heavy conditions.
