Lock Lane ARLFC have updated their logo and reverted to their old name to coincide with the club’s 75th anniversary and promotion to the National Conference League’s Premier Division.
The logo has been designed by design company Creative Minds whose creative director is former club captain Stuart Arundel (pictured). He decided to focus on the town’s Roman history.
He said: “The Romans were strong, powerful and a well organised army who were feared by their enemies which is a pretty good analogy for an aspiring amateur rugby league team . “
After back-to-promotions Lane are looking to build on their success and become a force in the top-flight.
Lane start their league campaign with an away game on March 2. Their first home fixture is two weeks later on March 16.
With Lane being only one of two West Yorkshire teams in the Premier Division, they are looking to attract strong support for their 13 home games.
They are offering a season ticket for the first time, which is priced at £25. For details contact Lock Lane Sports Centre 01977-510200.
