CASTLEFORD Panthers under 15s girls were in blistering form in a 34-10 win against Huddersfield St Joseph’s.

Speedy Natalie Carr bagged the first try that Grace Field goaled before Rachel Banks crossed with a determined run.

Lucy Robinson’s well-taken try was improved by Rachel Proctor before Kayla Clarke’s superb off-load sent in Georgie Hetherington and Field converted to make it 22-0 at half-time.

St Joseph’s hit back in the second-half but Panthers shrugged off the loss of injured Sophie Lund to strike an important blow when Brogan Churm set up a try for Robinson.

Panthers sealed victory when clever play by Clarke and top tackler Hetherington saw player of the match Jasmine Rowley score the game’s best try and Proctor kicked her second goal.

There was great defensive work from Amy Foster and Jordanna Jones.

Katie Innes and Stacey Tramaseur starred in attack.
