It was a real day of fun in aid of two good causes when the Elite Rugby Academy held their second summer charity festival at the Castleford Academy sports field.
The academy – run by former Castleford Tigers players turned coaches Danny Orr and Ryan Hudson – held their gala day in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support and the childhood muscular dystrophy charity, Joining Jack.
The day’s activities saw rugby league tournaments for various age groups, appearances from Super League players and entertainment that included music, bouncy castles, a barbecue, raffle with luxury prizes, various stalls and a dunk tank involving Cas Tigers star Kirk Dixon among others.
The event was sponsored by RBK Mechanical.
Here’s a slideshow of pictures capturing the fun of the event. All photographs are by MATTHEW MERRICK.
