STREETHOUSE are just two victories away from playing in the National Village Cup final at Lord’s for the second time in four seasons.

They visit Woodhouse Grange in the quarterfinals on Sunday, July 29 after beating Welsh side Northop Hall by six wickets in last Sunday’s sixth round tie at Whinney Lane.

All-rounder Ismail Patel (pictured) played an important role in Streethouse’s win in the first-ever meeting between the teams.

Patel claimed 2-21 and skipper Richard Vigars 2-32 as Northop were limited to 179-7.

Streethouse knocked off the runs with seven balls to spare after excellent work by Patel (65no), Mark Robinson (34) and Jonathan Hughes (29).

The club are running a coach to the game at Woodhouse Grange.

Anyone wishing to travel on the coach should contact Stewart Simpson on 07733411092.
