STREETHOUSE lifted the Pontefract League’s Dyson-Skidmore Trophy for the first time for 13 years by beating Stainborough by 14 runs in Sunday’s final at Ackworth.

Ismail Patel, who won the man of the match award, hit an unbeaten 86 to steer Division One leaders Streethouse to 209-4.

Mark Robinson (58) and Jonathan Hughes (35) were the other main contributors.

Stainborough’s run chase was led by Anthony Clark (46), Patrick Jensen (42) and Tom Atkinson.

Division Two side Stainborough were left needing 23 runs for victory off the final over but managed only eight and closed on 195-7.

Scott Bland (3-42) was Streethouse’s most successful bowler.
