Castleford climbed up to sixth spot in the Hunters York Senior League Premier Division after making it three wins from four with a 64-run success against York Seconds.
James Sykes paved the way for the victory with a fine knock of 84 as Castleford defied being put into bat to post a fine 216-8 total.
Good support came from David Wainwright (33), Connor Fisher (24) and Zaid Javed (20).
York overcame the loss of opener Ben Robinson without score to Fisher to reach 55-1, but then saw wickets go down at steady intervals until they were all out for 155 in the 45th over.
Tom Spearman battled to an unbeaten 68, but could find little support from the lower order against a Castleford attack well led by skipper Wainwright (5-41) and Connor Hyde (2-46).
Division Three Ebor leaders Clifton Alliance were too good for Castleford Seconds as they maintained their unbeaten record with an 101-run win.
Clifton imposed themselves from the start with opener Simon Williams hitting an unbeaten 111 in their 257-1 total.
Aaron Grant hit 34, Sam Stokes 31 and Darren Tomlinson 36 not out for Castleford, but they fell well short as they were all out for 156 in reply.
Castleford under 11s lost to Newton Hill under 11s in the Pontefract Junior League.
Despite a wicket each for Ben Kilby Paul, Jacob Carr, Arlen Memerry and Louis Cadman, Cas‘s nett score of 214 was 24 runs adrift.
