Cool for Chris!

Chris, who founded the 80s band with Glenn Tilbrook, will tell the story of his musical life, from the 50p advert in a newsagent’s window that was the start of Squeeze, through to playing Madison Square Garden and beyond.

He will be aided and abetted by comedian and Red Dwarf star Norman Lovett, who provides the laughs in his own inimitable style.

Expect to hear some classic Squeeze hits, including Up The Junction, Cool for Cats and Labelled With Love, as well as Chris’ more recent solo hits.

Chris is a double Ivor Novello Award-winning lyricist, with 16 Squeeze albums, three critically-acclaimed solo LPs, countless top 20 hits, 32 American tours, 30 UK tours and a host of global tours under his belt.

He has written songs with Elton John, Trilok Gurtu, Marti Pellow, Lamont Dozier, Willie Mithell, Bryan Ferry and former Squeeze bandmate Jools Holland, to name a few.

One of his most recent co-writes is Ask Me To Stay, which appears on the best-selling Ollie Muirs album.

Norman Lovett is probably best-known for playing computer Holly in BBC hit comedy classic Red Dwarf, as well as TV appearances in Asylum and It’s Bill Bailey, plus his extensive stand-up work.
