'Business in Wakefield district will find a way to adapt to tier 2 lockdown'

Dana Russell, who owns Queen’s Mill Tea Rooms in the town, said her business had been able to adapt as the rules changed.

She said: “We fully support all the council’s attempts to rid us of the virus and to keep everyone safe.

“We are fully Covid-secure and will adhere to the changing regulations now and in the future.Being in the high tier brings new challenges but with the help of our customers we will adapt.

“Things were slowly getting back to some form of normality and our customer confidence remains very high.

“Talking to business colleagues and customers it still seems like there is a lot of confusion out there re the seemingly constantly changing rules.

“Since the three tier announcement we have already seen an increase in customers booking outside tables and have responded by providing outside heating and outdoor blankets.”

“Since opening again in August after the lockdown, it’s been really pleasing to see our regular customers back again and meeting their friends.

“Along with a lot of first time customers from the eat out to get out scheme who have now become regulars too.

“We’d like to take this opportunity to thank all our customers old and new along with the Express in supporting local businesses in these current times.”
