Castleford Market Christmas opening hours announced

Traders at Castleford Market said business has picked up in the first week since the national lockdown.

Traders’ spokesman and owner of Four Seasons Pet Supplies Phil Dobson said: “I think we’ll have strong trading days right through from now until Christmas Eve.

“Customers coming into the market seem confident now.

“We didn’t have much to report on Wednesday, the first day open again, as it’s half day closing in Castleford, but Thursday started pretty strong and continued throughout the day, with traders claiming a good day.

“Saturday was very busy from early on, with all the traders stating they’d had really good sales on the day and this week as started busy as well.”

The extending opening times are:

Wednesday, December 16 - 08.30am to 4.30pm

Sunday, December 20 - 10am to 4pm

Wednesday, December 23 - 8.30am to 4.30pm

Christmas Eve - 8.30am - 4pm (doors are usually unofficially open from 7am)
