Roads to be closed in Wakefield, Castleford, Pontefract and Knottingley next week

Between August 17 and August 21 the following work will take place:

-Emergency teams will respond to safety defect, potholes and missing/broken ironwork

-Gully cleansing teams will be carrying out priority works, which will include closing Black Lane on August 19 and August 20

-Public rights of way team will carry out maintenance works as required

-Works are ongoing at Bruce Smeaton Way, Castleford and Park Road, Pontefract

-Road closures are still in place at Skinner Lane, Pontefract and Spawd Bone Lane, Knottingley

-Carriageways planning and resurfacing works will take place in South Hiendley at Church Lane, Slack Lane and Kirkagate Lane

-A two-day raod closure will be in place on Cotterill Road, Knottingley, for footway repairs

-Darning Lane, Thorpe Audlin will be closed for footway resurfacing works on August 19
