Rules on shopping to stay the same over Christmas guideline-easing period
The rules on who you can go shopping with will not change over the festive period.
Under Tier 3 restrictions, people must not meet socially with friends and family indoors – including shops – in any setting unless they are part of your household or support bubble.
People must not meet with people outside of your household or support bubble in a private garden or most outdoor public venues including the high street and outdoor markets.
Between December 23 and December 27, the rules on who you can meet in shops will not change. This includes Boxing Day sales.
