Wakefield estate agent says property market is up and running again as lockdown restrictions are lifted

With the Wood Street branch now reopen, following the implementation of strict safety measures to ensure it is ‘Covid-19 secure’ the local team is looking forward to helping those wanting to move home.

Branch partner Louisa Crook said: “Business never stopped as we continued our services remotely during lockdown but, understandably, there was an element of ‘wait and see’ from customers during this challenging time.

“However, with lockdown now easing, there is a lot of pent up demand with people registering to view properties and many looking to now get their house on the market.

"It’s great to have the local team back in the branch to help home movers.”

The branch initially opened behind closed doors to roll out health and safety measures.

This included arranging new branch layouts to ensure social distancing measures are observed, protective screens placed on appointment desks, deep cleans conducted, signage to assist with the two metre rule, PPE made available for colleagues and hand sanitiser available for all in branch.

Each team member also received intensive training on safe working practices prior to doors opening.

Louisa said: “Our priority is the health and safety of our customers and colleagues and, although we and our branch may look slightly different with an amended layout and our PPE in place on appointments, it will certainly be the same level of good service our customers expect,”

“To get the market moving, we have rolled out an exciting marketing campaign to get the widest possible exposure for properties, new technology to enable 360 degree virtual tours and viewings, and we are fully committed to getting the best price possible for our customers.

"We have the best solution to support home movers needs, either in person, on email or at the end of the phone.”
