Wakefield firm to employ 104 new staff
Home and commercial interior products Interior Goods Direct will employ 104 new staff this year.
The expansion has been split between the company’s manufacturing and head office teams.

Hide AdNo team members have been furloughed or made redundant as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The company has reported that much of its continuing success has been due to the pre-COVID trend of greater numbers shopping online through its website blindsdirect.co.uk, which the pandemic has accelerated.
Darren Green, Managing Director, says, “While the COVID-19 pandemic has caused distress and pressure on all in the UK, we’ve been heartened by the public’s ongoing confidence in British manufacturing.
“As more of us are spending longer hours indoors, home improvement has been a higher priority than usual, and consumers have been looking to incorporate more British-made items into their homes.

With its headquarters and state-of-the-art production facility in Grange Moor, Yorkshire, Interior Goods Direct manufactures and sells a wide range of blinds, curtains, shutters, cushions and lampshades through its subsidiary blindsdirect.co.uk.
