A popular children's play cafe in the city centre has confirmed it will not reopen to customers.

The children's play cafe, which offers a safe space for children to play as well as baby changing facilities and a cafe for parents, opened in August 2018.Speaking at the time, Gracie said it would allow her to combine her passion for caring for children with her love of performing.

Confirming the closure of The Den in a Facebook post, Gracie said: "I am very, very sad to announce that unfortunately, The Den will not be reopening.

"Due to the current pandemic and the continuing restrictions, we have no choice but to close as the business cannot survive financially.

"We miss you all very much and would like to thank you for your continued support over these last two years.

"My memories of The Den will always bring me joy, especially our music time sessions!

"Take care and stay safe during this difficult time. All my love, Gracie."
