VIDEO - Wakefield and District Housing tenants star in money advice films

Tenants have put their voices to a series of online money advice videos by Wakefield and District Housing.

WDH tenants Chelsea Morris, from Ossett, and Thaine Beecher, from Pontefract, provided voice overs in the videos, which have been launched on the internet video site Youtube.

The animated short films were made to help tenants manage their money as part of the Cash Wise project.

The videos, created by Motiv Productions, feature five characters who face financial problems but get support from the project, which has helped more than 550 tenants since 2013.

Pete Beaumont, WDH’s financial inclusion manager, said: “We’re delighted with the continued success of the Cash Wise project and the creative ideas generated by the participants have really shaped this innovative project for WDH into something we are all very proud of.”

Cash Wise is funded by the Big Lottery Fund and has helped tenants with budgets, healthy eating and claiming benefits.
