Wren Kitchens confirms opening date for new Wakefield showroom

The retailer last year confirmed plans to take over the former Toys R Us unit on Westgate Retail Park. The other half of the unit has been converted into Tesco discount chain Jack's.

They have now embarked on a three month refit of the unit, including a new mezzanine floor and more than 50 display kitchens.

Wakefield Showroom Manager Bradley Cousins said: “We’re excited to be arriving in the Wakefield area this Spring.

"We invest heavily in the look and feel of our showrooms, so we’re confident the community of Wakefield will feel truly inspired and excited as soon as they walk through our doors.”

The showroom, which will be the company's 94th in the UK, will create 25 jobs, with all openings advertised on the Wren Careers website here.

It will offer expert kitchen design, including 3D planning and virtual reality rooms, as well as displays.

The nearest Wren Kitchen stores are currently located in Leeds, Birstall and Huddersfield.

Wren Kitchens will open on Wakefield Retail Park on Friday, May 15, 2020.
