More than 400 people tuned in to the remote day, which was hosted via a live stream and featured interviews, Q&As, virtual tours and more.

Speaking during the virtual event, Principal & CEO Sam Wright said: "I speak on behalf of all the staff when I sat how much we've missed the interaction with the students.

"We're used to seeing students every day and of course an event like this we would all normally be at college to welcome our new students and students who might be thinking of studying with us in the future.

"I think it's fair to say certainly strange times, but at least we can have a remote event and hopefully sometime soon students will be able to come in and see our facilities at the college."

Many staff members were also available for live interviews during the event, which was the first virtual open day the college had hosted.

Led by radio presenter Rich Williams, staff talked about their subjects of expertise, answered live questions and offered advice to future and prospective students.
