More than 4,000 new cases of the virus have been confirmed in the district this month.
And earlier today, it was confirmed that Wakefield will enter into Tier 3 restrictions following the end of the second national lockdown next month.

Willow Green Academy, Knottingley
The nursery and reception class bubble at Willow Green Academy has been closed after a member of staff tested positive for Covid-19.
It is expected that affected students will be allowed to return to school on Wednesday, December 7.
Southdale CE (VC) Junior School, Ossett
A partial closure is in place for class 5AM, as a result of a Covid-19 case. The closure will remain in place until Tuesday, December 1.
Snapethorpe Primary School, Lupset

Hide AdTwo bubbles at Snapethorpe have been closed, including a full class of Year 4 pupils.
A reception class has also closed due to a lunchtime supervisor testing positive for the virus.
Both bubbles are expected to reopen on Thursday, December 3.
Smawthorne Henry Moore Primary School, Castleford
Two classes are currently closed at Smawthorne Henry Moore Primary School.

Hide AdTurtles Class, taught by Mr Powell, will remain closed until Monday, November 30.
Pandas Class, taught by Miss Hunt and Mrs Prior is also closed, and is expected to reopen on Thursday, December 3.
Sandal Castle (VA) Community Primary, Wakefield
A class bubble at Sandal Castle Community Primary is currently closed.
The children in class 4KH have been asked to isolate until Friday, December 4, and will be allowed to return to school on Monday, December 9.

Hide AdOne child in class 4SK and four from the school's breakfast club have been identified through the school's trace and trace system, and have been asked to self-isolate alongside the class bubble.
Outwood Academy Freeston, Normanton
A partial closure has been implemented at Outwood Academy Freeston, where 45 per cent of year 8 pupils are currently self-isolating.
The school is also facing "exceptional levels" of staff absence, meaning they are unable to safely accommodate all students.
As a result, the year 8 group has been closed, and is expected to reopen on Monday, November 30.
Normanton Newlands Primary School, Normanton

Newton Hill Community School, Wakefield
A partial school closure is in place at Newton Hill, after a student and teacher tested positive for Covid-19.
The closure is expected to end on Wednesday, December 2.
Highfield School, Ossett
One bubble at Highfield School has closed, after a teaching assistant and two other members of staff tested positive for Covid-19.

Featherstone All Saints CofE Academy, Featherstone
A year 3 class has been closed after a member of the bubble tested positive for coronavirus. The confirmed case was last in contact wit the bubble on Thursday, November 19, and tested positive in the following days.
As a result, those who have been in contact with the person have been advised to stay home and self-isolate until Friday, December 4.
Badsworth CE (VC) J&I School, Pontefract
Badsworth CE School has closed a year 6 bubble after a confirmed case of Covid-19.
Airedale Academy
High levels of staff absence at Airedale Academy mean that all year 7 students will be required to work form home this week.
Students will return to school on Monday, November 30.
