Under the new rules, announced on Monday, non-essential retailers must close until at least mid-February, but can continue to offer click and collect services.

Restaurants, pubs and cafes can also continue to offer takeaway and delivery services.

These are all the shops at Wakefield's Ridings and Trinity Walk shopping centres, as well as Castleford's Junction 32 Outlet Shopping Centre, which will stay open during the national lockdown, beginning today (Wednesday, January 6).

As the third national lockdown comes into effect in Wakefield, these are all the shops in the district's shopping centres which will remain open to customers.

The Ridings Shopping Centre

A spokesperson for the Ridings said: "Our carparks, entrances and importantly our lower mall toilets, accessible toilets and baby change area will all be open.

"The list is changing and people should visit our website or the individual stores' website/Facebook page before travelling."

A spokesperson for Trinity Walk said: "The lower level of the car park and its Marsh Way entrance will be closed so please only use our Asda Living car park entrance by Asda Living/bus station which remains open as does the top deck.

"Parking here will be 50p all day, every day for the duration of this third lockdown from Jan 6 and normal parking charges will apply again when it's lifted.

"Our toilet block will again close for lockdown as due to a temporary reduction in our team size, we won't have capacity to keep up to the strict cleaning regime of the toilets . However, you should only visit the centre for essentials and Sainsbury's toilets remain open.

"Our cleaning of key customer touchpoints will continue throughout lockdown

"All our current Covid-19 rules and systems will remain in place such as one-way systems."

A spokesperson for Junction 32 said: "In line with government guidance, non-essential shops at Junction 32 are closed. Below you can discover what is still open, and also find answers to your most commonly asked questions.

"Stay safe, Yorkshire, and we look forward to welcoming you back soon."
