Anna Hartley, Wakefield Council’s director of public health, said: “We are aware that four cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed at Sleep Factory in Ossett. We’ve taken swift action to work with the business, Public Health England and the HSE to help limit any further potential spread and all the cases are all self-isolating.

“We ask everyone to please continue to follow Government guidance on regular handwashing and social distancing to help keep yourself and others safe. If you are displaying symptoms please get a test by visiting nhs.co.uk/coronavirus or call 119.”

It follows an outbreak at Deep Sleep Beds, also in Ossett, last month.

The council has previously encouraged residents to follow "five simple rules" to prevent the spread of the virus, including wearing face coverings wherever possible, adhering to social distancing rules, avoiding close contact and car sharing with those outside your household and maintaining regular handwashing.
