No further coronavirus deaths recorded in Yorkshire hospitals

There have been no further coronavirus deaths confirmed in Yorkshire hospitals, according to the latest daily figures.

Nine people have died in hospitals outside the region, according to NHS England data released on Tuesday, September 1.

Seven people died in the North West, one person died in the Midlands and one person died in the South East.

The patients were between 71 and 92 years old.

All but one had known underlying health conditions.

The total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England is 29,563.

NHS England publishes the number of patients who have died in hospital and tested positive for COVID-19 in England.

Since Tuesday, April 28 NHS England and NHS Improvement also reports the number of patient deaths where there has been no COVID-19 positive test result, but where COVID-19 is documented as a direct or underlying cause of death on part 1 or part 2 of the death certification process.
