Covid in Wakefield: The 19 areas of Wakefield, Pontefract and Castleford where coronavirus rates are rising

The rate of new cases of Covid-19 in the Wakefield district rose slightly this week, and is currently the seventh highest of any local authority in the UK.

Of the 45 neighbourhoods in the Wakefield district, 19 recorded a rise in case rates in the most recent week for which data is available. These are the 19 areas of Wakefield, Pontefract and Castleford where rates of Covid-19 rose in the seven days up to May 1. It comes as people are warned that it is 'more important than ever' to abide by Covid restrictions.
