Your dedications flood in for The Prince of Wales Hospice flower appeal

Around 300 forget me nots have already been dedicated to remember loved ones.

Joanne Hodgetts is delighted to have made her dedication to remember her dad Des Pointon.

She said: “My mum and dad had been passionate supporters of The Prince of Wales Hospice for many years, never expecting that one day they would require their services.

“My dad loved life and lived every day to the full. His passion and zest were contagious and he was loved by all who knew him.

“He was a true family man and we were so lucky to have had him. In 2019 my dad sadly died in the hospice.

"During his stay he was in awe of all the staff, how hard they worked and the amazing care and support they provided.

"We can’t thank them enough for all they did for dad and for us.

“The Forget Me Not appeal is such a lovely way to give a little back to the hospice and to remember your loved ones. This is the second year my mum, sister and I have each dedicated a Forget me Not to my dad.

“It’s so lovely looking out into the garden and seeing the flowers, a beautiful tribute for our dad.”
