To mark her 16 years of being cancer free she has set herself a Race for Life at Home challenge of making 1,600 jumps on a mini trampoline in the garden by May 31.

She had been used to marking her annual milestone of being cancer free with the start of the Race for Life event season each year.

She said: “As part of my job, from the middle of May to the end of July, I spend most of my weekends at various venues across the Yorkshire region, joining thousands of amazing people at Race for Life events. This includes Thornes Park in Wakefield and Temple Newsam Park in Leeds.

“But this year, Wakefield and Leeds are among the many Race for Life events which Cancer Research UK has had to postpone to the Autumn to protect the country’s health during the coronavirus outbreak.”
