Michelle Rodd, Megan's mum, said: "It is never something small with Megan, I am blown away by her.

"She doesn't do it because she wants the praise or recognition, it's because she wants to."

Megan and her mum have been delivering as many as 30 food parcels a day to families and individuals who have reached out for help across the Wakefield district.

They have also supported families with household items and even delivered Christmas presents to those who were struggling due to the pandemic.

"If people are hungry we will go out and help them usually within 24 hours," Michelle said. "It is just so busy, she really is a superstar."

Megan has launched a Facebook group to keep people up to date with her work and allow people to get in touch if they need support.

All food parcels are made up of donations, with supermarkets stepping in to support Megan.

The food parcels consist of enough food for every person in the household for at least one week and include fresh products.
