The Grade II listed building, which was put up next to the lake in Newmillerdam, in 1822, already serves hot drinks and snacks and now wants to extend its current alcohol licence.

The application will ultimately be decided by Wakefield Council.

Members of the public have until October 6 to submit any views they have about the idea to the council.
