Pontefract one-man food service does your weekly shop and delivers to your door
Nature’s Taste, a food delivery service based in Knottingley, began last year when founder Kieran Johnson-Kerry lost his job in construction due to the pandemic.
The idea behind the group is to deliver fresh produce from local providers, such as bakers, butchers and farmers straight to the doorsteps of people of the Five Towns.

Kieran said: “When Covid came about , I’d lost my job and I didn’t have a lot of money myself. I had nothing until the grants came - and then I began this.
“I saw online that nobody could get food so I set up a Facebook page and bought some produce to deliver to people who needed it.
“Originally just operated from my back garden, I set some little set deals, and it took off. Since then I’ve been able to get a warehouse to work from so I could take on more orders.

“It’s just a matter of going on the website and ordering what you need.”
Hinitt’s Bakery, in Ackworth and SNK Butchers, in Featherstone and Five Towns Desserts are among a few of the local suppliers that provide produce to Nature’s Tale.
The website comes with a ‘build your own box’ service, so service users can choose from the wide range of products including meat, fruit, vegetables, breads, pies, pantry snacks, preserves and desserts.

Kieran said: “It’s nice using local suppliers over the bigger ones because of the push to shop local.
“And everything is really high quality and everything people order is prepared fresh on the same day.
“When you've got delivery scheduled, it helps that the businesses are so close so everything will be ever fresher by the time it gets to that person's doorstep.
