Popular Greek cafe confirms opening date for Wakefield branch
Tavassoli's, on New Briggate, Leeds, has amassed a following of thousands of fans on Facebook, where they are applauded for their gyros, a Greek dish made from meat cooked on a vertical rotisserie.
And the restaurant's owners have now confirmed that they will open a new branch in Wakefield at the end of the month.

"So it was just waiting for the right time.
"There have been some gyros in Wakefield previously but none of them are authentic.
"Gyros is something that even if you've never had it before you'll try it and be like 'why have I not tasted this before in my life?'"
Gyros Bros will open at Now Serving, on Market Street, on Friday, May 29.
The restaurant will initially operate a delivery only system as part of national coronavirus restrictions, but hope to serve customers in the bar once the lockdown has been lifted.
