'Rome from home' replaces town's annual festival
Youngsters and parents are being reminded that the Roman Festival in Castleford is being run online this week.
‘Rome from Home’ has replaced this year’s annual event, which was obviously cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak, but allows youngsters to get involved safely.
There are numerous online activities planned for children to explore Castleford’s Roman roots.
Running until Sunday, June 28, there are arts and crafts challenges, puzzles, ancient recipes and virtual tours of Castleford museum and its Roman artefacts.
